Description:
Clematis ‘Ville de Lyon’ features medium-sized, vivid red flowers with a glossy sheen that appear to sparkle in the sunlight. The round petals overlap gracefully, creating a striking contrast with the bright lemon-yellow stamens. This variety blooms over an exceptionally long season, starting in mid-May and continuing into October. Although flowering may slow down during the hottest part of summer, it quickly resumes with cooler temperatures.
When ‘Ville de Lyon’ was first introduced to China, it was also known by the name “Red Ruby.” In full sun, the red tones reach their most intense and radiant display. It is an abundant bloomer with impressive floral coverage, making it a standout choice for trellises, pergolas, and fences.
